Who Benefits?

The Shoah Yellow Candle™ Program presents a valuable opportunity to model the ritual of lighting a Yahrzeit candle with your family and friends and remember a victim who perished in the Holocaust.

The program provides the Men’s Club or other participating groups with an educational purpose and a significant project to focus on. The program is an excellent vehicle for training its members and cultivating volunteers.

Synagogues and Organizations – The program benefits the synagogue or organization by uniting the congregation through an inter-generational effort and focusing on Shoah programming.

Communities – The program benefits the community by bringing together the resources that Men’s Clubs and other organizations must aid and assist your community in its observances and make the public more aware of the lessons learned from the Shoah.

Charities – Many clubs target funds for local Holocaust memorials, libraries, gardens, Holocaust Museum trips, and scholarships for educational programs. Shoah Yellow Candle programs can be a source of funding for other meaningful programs related to Yom HaShoah.
